Star Sign Symbols - AQUARIUS
Start by applying a solid color to the background layer.
Double click this layer in layer window to unflatten it. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Using custom shape tool create a preset 5 pont star shape.
Populate the background with stars of different sizes.
Rasterize the layer. Hide the background layer. Create a rectangular selection of the whole area using rectangular marquee tool.
From edit menu select define pattern. name the pattern "stars". We’ll use this pattern regularly in later steps.
Change the layer mode of stars layer to overlay.
Using custom shape tool create a preset 5 pont star shape.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown. We’ll use star pattern that we saved in pattern overlay this time.
Create a circle using elliptical shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select Warp. Adjust the nodes to get the shape as shown.
Apply same layer style as we applied on star shape. In next few layers we’re going to apply same layer style.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool.
Duplicate the ellipse layer and scale down a bit. Change the color.
Create blob 1 shape using custom shape tool.
Apply same layer style.
Change the layer mode to “Hard Light”.
Create a few small ellipses for droplets of water.
Create a rectangle on top and type star sign name over it.

Start by creating a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Enable “subtract from shape area” at the top bar. Create a line using line shape tool. We used a pixel width of 2 pixels.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select distort. Adjust the nodes to get a shape as shown.
Duplicate the layer. Press Ctrl+T. Right click and select Flip Horizontal and place on the other side.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select distort. Adjust the nodes to get a shape as shown.
Create a rectangle for ribbon using rectangular shape tool.
Again press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select distort. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Similarly create ribbon on the other side.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Rotate this rectangle to align with the side below.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select distort. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Select custom shape tool. Select Whole Note shape from the preset shape menu at the top. Create as shown.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select distort. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Place this shape for the ribbon knot at the top of gift box. Duplicate the layer. Press Ctrl+T. Right click and select Flip Horizontal and place on the other side.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Enable “subtract from shape area” at the top bar. Using pen tool create a shape as shown to create ribbon end.
Place below the knot as shown.
Type gift shop / gallery name at the bottom using a nice font.

Drawing a Cartoon Rocket
Start by creating a triangle using polygon shape tool.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool. Apply stroke layer style.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool. Apply stroke layer style.
Create a vertical line using line shape tool. Place as shown.
Create a path for the exhaust stroke as shown using pen tool.
Press Ctrl+Enter to covert the path into selection. Press Shift+Ctrl+D to feather the selection. Feather the selection by 10 pixels. Create a new layer and fill it with orange color.
Ctrl+Click the layer thumbnail to get the selection. From select menu apply modify>>contract. Contract the selection by 5 pixels.
Create a new layer and fill it with yellow color.
Create some stars shapes with different colors using custom shape tool.
Select and merge all the layers. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
