| Start by applying a solid color to the background layer. |

| Double click this layer in layer window to unflatten it. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown. |

| Using custom shape tool create a preset 5 pont star shape. |
 |
| Populate the background with stars of different sizes. |
 |
| Rasterize the layer. Hide the background layer. Create a rectangular selection of the whole area using rectangular marquee tool. |
 |
| From edit menu select define pattern. name the pattern "stars". We’ll use this pattern regularly in later steps. |
 |
| Change the layer mode of stars layer to overlay. |
 |
| Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. |
 |
| Enable add to shape area form the top bar. Create a triangle and a vertical rectangle shape as shown |
 |
| Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown. |

| Create a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool. |
 |
| Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Select arc from preset warp shapes. Apply settings as shown. |

 |

| Create a circle using elliptical shape tool. Move this layer below previous layer in layer order in layer palette. |

| Enable add to shape area form the top bar. Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown. |

| Using pen tool create tail hair. Apply same layer style as we used for lion’s hair. Just change the color to gray. |

| Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown. copy this layer. In next few layers we’re going to apply same layer style. |

| Create more legs similarly. Rotate each leg as shown. Paste the same layer style you copied, on each leg. |

| Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool. |
 |
| Rotate the ellipse a bit. Apply same layer style. |
 |
| Duplicate the ellipse layer. scale up and rotate as shown. |

| From custom shape tool create a preset moon shape. Apply same layer style. |
 |
| Duplicate the layer. Scale down and rotate as shown. |
 |
| Similarly create the shapes for the other side. |
 |
| Create two circles for the eyes using elliptical shape tool. Apply same layer style. |
 |
| Select and merge all cancer layers except of course the background layer and its star pattern layer. Double click the merged layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown. |

| Move this layer below the cancer layer in layer order in layer palette. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown. |
