Tree Style Text Effect
Start by typing your text.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
From layer menu select layer style>>create layers. Merge both the layers. Select smudge tool from the main tool bar with the settings shown.
Drag the mouse over the edges of the alphabets to create random shaped roots.
Using smudge tool again create some helping roots surrounding the alphabet.
Using brush tool create some hanging lines with branches.
Press F5 to open brush settings. Select leaf brush from the custom brushes. Apply settings as shown.
Apply the brush over the alphabets and hanging lines in a new layer.
Repeat the steps for other alphabets.

Start by creating a rounded rectangle shape using rounded rectangle shape tool.
Create a circular frame shape using custom shape tool.
Select both the layers. Press Ctrl+t. Right click the layer and select distort. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Select the circular frame layer. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Select the rounded rectangle layer. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Press Alt key and keep hitting down arrow to create a 3D extrusion.
Select and merge all the duplicate layers. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Create a circular frame shape using custom shape tool. Enable subtract from shape area at the top bar. Create two rectangle as to create a quarter circular frame.
Apply the same layer style we used for rounded rectangle layer.
Press Alt key and keep hitting down arrow to create a 3D extrusion. Select and merge all the duplicate layers and apply the same layer style we used for the 3D extrusion layer.
Create a circle shape using elliptical shape tool. Enable add to shape area at the top bar. Create some more overlapping rectangular shapes as shown.
Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select distort. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Repeat the above steps to create 3D extrusion.
Select and merge all the layers. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.

Crystal Background Effect

Start by applying a gradient to the background.

Select burn tool from the main toolbar. Select a brush from top bar as shown.
Apply burn tool settings as shown in the image.
Apply brush to the background layer.
Select smudge tool from the main toolbar.
Apply smudge tool to the whole background layer.
From select menu click color range. Use eye dropper to select a lighter area of the image.
Press Ctrl+J to copy paste the selection in a new layer. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Similarly select another color range, copy paste selection and apply drop shadow.
Select and merge all the layers. Duplicate layer Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select flip vertical. Change the layer mode to multiply.
Merge both the layers. Duplicate layer and flip it horizontally. Change the layer mode to difference.
Duplicate both the layers and change the layer mode to linear dodge.
Select and merge all the layers. Press Ctrl+I to inverse the colors.
Select the top layer in layer palette.From layer menu select new adjustment layers>>hue/saturation. Apply settings as shown.
